Hottest Housing Markets In America

Los Angeles Tech News

Ever wonder why houses in some cities sell faster than others? No, its not because of the color of the house, or whether it has a 2 car garage. The real reason is how popular the city is.

According to Trulia, of the top 10 faster selling housing markets, 8 of them are located in California. San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland are among the top 5 with at least 70% of the homes selling in less than 2 months. For comparison, the national average was about 40% of homes selling in less than 2 months (this is a small increase from 2014 when the national average was 38%). As you can see, that’s quite a bit lower than where these top states.

But what exactly fuels this sort of demand for housing? One of the main factors for this is whether or not the city has high rates of job growth. With more sustainable jobs growing at a rapid pace, you can find that it directly impacts the housing market demand for homes. This is one of the main reasons why cities and states put such an emphasis on creating jobs – basically, its like hitting two birds with one stone.

Here’s a list of the top 10 quickest-moving housing markets:

1. San Francisco, CA.

2. San Jose, CA.

3. Oakland, CA.

4. San Diego, CA

5. Orange County, CA.

6. Seattle, WA.

7. Sacramento, CA.

8. Los Angeles, CA.

9. Ventura County, CA.

10. Salt Lake City, UT.
