Almost 2 decades ago Independence Day hit theaters and was a huge box office success, going down as one of the better popcorn movies at the time, blending the right amount of action, humor, and awe inspiring special effects.
Roughly 1 year from now, Roland Emmerich’s Independence Day sequel will debut, and recently Fox invited the press to the deserts of New Mexico to get an in-dpeth look at what to expect about one of the more well known extraterrestrial films of the 90s. Many of our beloved cast members will be back in action, including Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner, Angelababy, Maika Monroe, Sela Ward, Jessie Usher and Liam Hemsworth .Unfortunately Will Smith declined the opportunity to reprise his role, we are still hoping he will atleast make a cameo. It still isn’t clear why he turned down the role, but it seems like it was really close to happening a few months back.
“Independence Day: Resurgence” is the new title, and we think it rocks!

Independence Day Resurgence will open on June 24, 2016. There will be tons of info surfacing soon enough, along with a teaser trailer.
